Chinese Phone maker Oppo and OnePlus will soon be launching their latest offerings. If speculations are to be believed, Oppo will raise the curtains over the R15. One Plus, on the other hand, will introduce its flagship offering the OnePlus 6. Social media has been abuzz with leaked photos of both smartphones from the Chinese makers. Both the handset are expected to carry a notch on the lines of Apple iPhone X.
Based on various leaks doing the rounds, we can assume some design and features of the upcoming products. One such leak video of OnePlus 6 hints towards a more user-friendly multitasking mode. The notch serves as the borderline for running apps and shortcuts like screenshots and Do Not Disturb mode. The notch sees an upgrade in functionality in the flagship offerings. Apart from being used for introducing a full-screen display, the Chinese smartphone makers show that the notch can be used for better UI design features. Apple has new things to ponder upon now since the iPhone X debacle last year.
Another leaked video claims a bezel-less display for the Oppo R15. As per sources, The Oppo R15 is also expected to be launched in two color variants: Red and Black. It will also sport a 6.28-inch (1080x2280) display with 19:9 aspect ratio and thin bezels. Another leak claims similar display features for OnePlus 6 and hence, further cementing the identical design rumors.
The OnePlus 5T has a mid-yearly update in 2017. This fact further supports a sooner than later launch of the OnePlus 6. The OnePlus 6 will boast of major cosmetic and performance updates. BBK Electronics is the parent company that owns both the smartphone brands. Hence, the design is expected to be similar. However, at the end of the day, we must remember these are times part of the marketing strategy. For the time being, we must wait until the launch of both the eagerly awaited smartphones in their category.
