Blackberry launches its Low Cost Touch Screen Phone Q5

Market has tough competition in high quality and better smartphones. Recently Nokia and Sony has launched advanced technology based handsets and now Canadian mobile manufacturing company Research in Motion has launched new model of Blackberry.

It is a low cost smartphone with various features. The company has launched it in Florida but its price is not declared yet. Blackberry Q5 will be an entry level smartphone. Right now the starting price of Blackberry is Rs.10, 000 so this new phone is also expected of less than Rs.10k. The company has offered Blackberry Messenger (BBM) for android and iOS devices.

According to Blackberry, it will start text, group sharing and photo message. This service is going to start soon. Voice calls, video calls and screen sharing will be added by this year end. This step of blackberry may become a tough competition for Whatsapp, Skype and other rivals. The company has launched this Blackberry Q5 model to overcome from the lost by android and Apple iPhone.

It has keyboard along with touchscreen which gives it a different identity from android phone and iPhone. The battery of the phone is not removable and it runs on 1.2GHz processor. Q5 will be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is almost similar to Q10 as both have 2GB RAM but Q5 has only 8GB flash memory and Q10 has 16GB. Its 3.1inch LCD screen is very attractive with 720x720p HD display. Both smartphones have 2MP front cameras along with HD video recording.
