Samsung is continuously working on all ranges of smartphones from affordable to high price and recently launched the Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+, Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 in the Indian market. Furthermore, the South- Korean giant has been putting efforts to capture the more share market in the smartphone segment across the globe by offering new ranges of smartphones.
Now the company is about to launch two affordable smartphones likely to be dubbed as, Galaxy J4 Prime and Galaxy J6 Prime. Both smartphones have been spotted on the Samsung’s Vietnamese official website along with some specifications.
According to the Vietnamese website, Galaxy J4 and J6 are likely to be powered by an Exynos chipset, whereas the prime variants could get a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.

The Galaxy J4 Prime has been listed with model number SM-J415F, while the Galaxy J6 Prime has the model number- SM-J610F. Both of the smartphones are likely to run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box skinned with Samsung Experience UI but the company says not to expect the Android 9.0 Pie software update in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J Prime series smartphones. Initially, it will be available for purchase in selected markets including Vietnam and the Netherlands.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 were launched in May 2018. The Galaxy J4 comes with a starting price of Rs 9990 for base 2GB RAM, whereas the 3GB RAM variant is retailing at Rs 11,990. The Galaxy J4 features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core Exynos 7570 chipset, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage.

In terms of lens, the Galaxy J4 gets a 13MP rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the home button on the front side. It is shipped with Android 8.0 Oreo OS. It supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, dual- sim cards and GPS. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
The base 3GB RAM variant of the Samsung Galaxy J6 comes with a price tag of Rs 13,990, while the 4GB RAM variant has been priced at Rs 16,490. But currently, the company has slashed the price of Galaxy J6. The 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants, are now available for purchase at Rs 12,990 and Rs 14,990 respectively.
The Samsung Galaxy J6 features a 5.6-inch HD+ Infinity Display with a Super AMOLED panel, octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset. In terms of camera, it has a 13MP rear rear camera accompanied by LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera. The remaining features including battery, software and the connectivity aspects of Galaxy J6 are identical to Galaxy J4.
