A latest smartphone comes under the mark of Gionee dubbed as S6s in India. The Android smartphone is priced at Rs. 17,999 and includes a selfie oriented front camera flash feature. The smartphone has gone on sale starting from Monday via Flipkart, an online e-commerce giant.
Gionee's latest gadget appears to be very much identical with its previous sibling S6 which was seen last November. Talking about the specs, the device boots on company's Amigo 3.2 based Android 6.0 Marshmallow and features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D Curved Edge Glass.
The GSM smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. Concerning over the optics, the Gionee S6s comes with a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The front facing camera holds a flash module of itself along with a screen flash support. The 8 megapixel front facing camera has an f/2.2 aperture and a 5P lens.
There also comes a 32GB inbuilt storage in the Dual SIM (Micro+Nano) smartphone which features a hybrid dual-SIM card slot that supports storage expandability via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity features are 4G (with VoLTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB.
The smartphone houses a 3150 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner for an added security. The box comes with a display protector film and a transparent case. This time Gionee does some price cutting as its previous sibling S6 was launched with a price tag of Rs. 19,999.
