Well, one of the slender smartphone of mobile industry: Gionee Elife S7 (5.5mm thin profile) touched the Indian soil last week as well as this Chinese mobile maker is in headlines due its upcoming 4G-capable handset: V381. Amid all this, new tidings have come into view which are suggesting about the arrival of firm's brand-new "E" series device, called Elife E8. As reported by Times of India, president of company: William Lu has stated that new flagship smartphone: Gionee Elife E8 will be released globally in June, including India. He also explained the reason of a long gap between upcoming mobile phone and its predecessor that next-gen would not just be an incremental upgrade, but a it will be completely new, redesigned device that will "compete with the best."
As yet, details about internal hardware and software of Elife E8 have not been divulged, but rumors are hinting that mobile will feature a 5.7- to 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Notably, a website: gioneelife8.com has posted a catalog that includes almost expected specs of this unannounced gadget. If the report is to be believed, handheld will be paired with an Octa-Core Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz.
The comprisal of an 18-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash along with 10-megapixel front shooter has also been mentioned. It is speculated to be coupled with a 3000mAh battery, 3GB RAM as well as phone will be compatible with 4G LTE networks. On the software front, we could expect the latest flavor of Google's mobile operating system, which is Android 5.0 Lollipop currently.
As the matter of fact, Gionee is tight-lipped about the specifications of its next-iteration, so we should keep in mind that it's not necessary that smartphone will come with these above mentioned specs.
