In December 2018, the CEO of Gionee accepted that he used the money of the company to gamble at the casino of Hong Kong and was bankrupt. Now the company has launched the successor of the Gionee F205 which was launched in 2017 in India. The successor is named as the Gionee F205 Pro. By this, we can assume that the company has made a comeback.
The Gionee F205 Pro carries a price sticker of Rs 6,990 and will be available on Flipkart.

The Gionee F205 Pro features a 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved display with a screen resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone carries a quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW 64-bit processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz.
The smartphone comes pack with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable through microSD card upto 256GB. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS of Google and is speculated to have a screen guard at the front panel. It backs a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of the optics, the smartphone at the front has a 13-megapixel primary sensor with a 5P lens and an f/2.0 aperture. The front camera features 5 megapixel sensor with a 3P lens and an f/2.2 aperture. The Gionee F205 Pro has an LED flash on both the front and back side.
