Google, the world's leading tech giant, has rolled out the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update for the Nexus 6P smartphone. The update is specifically for the users of Nexus 6P with a beta version that comes with build number N2G47H and is nearly 26MB in size. The news about the same has been reported by the Android Police which states that the new update is targeted at Nexus 6P users who were earlier enrolled with beta program and were stuck with the beta build. The latest move by Google has the aim to facilitate these users with the stable Nougat build. The OTA for this has been made available on the Google servers, and users willing to update manually can get that from there.
It must be noted that the update is specifically for the 6P mobiles and Google has not uttered any word for other devices enrolled in the beta program. The latest released Android 7.1.2 update also comes with the Android security patch for the month of April. The Android 7.1.2 update, released earlier this month, for the Pixel, fixed the early shutdown issue as well as a fix for few users who experienced pink banding on the camera, and a fix to the audio popping issue some users were experiencing at high volume. For Pixel phones, the update also brought bug fixes, added features, and general performance and stability improvements. Some of the highlighted changes that come along with the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update include an improved fingerprint swipe performance, Bluetooth connectivity improvements, and battery usage alerts.

To recall, Google along with Huawei had launched the 6P smartphone in October 2015 that comes with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 518 pixels per inch. The Huawei Google Nexus 6P has been powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and it comes along with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. On the camera front, the Huawei Google Nexus 6P packs a 12.3-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
