Huawei, Chinese Tech Giant has announced a new software update for Honor 7X which comes with highly anticipated Face Unlock Feature. This feature was introduced by the company initially with Honor 10 view. The company had promised that it will introduce the same feature in Honor 7X as well and Face Unlock Feature finally introduced by the company within a few weeks. The new software update also brings some other improvements which include AR Lens to selfie camera, optimizations for the weather app, January security patch, and much more.
According to a report by Android Soul suggested that the new software update is currently available on for Chinese variant of Honor 7X smartphone those have model number AL10 and now it comes with build number B192. An individual can cross check the update just by going into the Settings section. The Honor 7X smartphones sold with various model numbers in the worldwide which includes L21, L22, and L24.
The new face unlock feature is based on biometric authentication tool which will allow users to unlock their Honor 7X just by identifying your face via selfie camera. It is an additional feature apart from the fingerprint sensor which is positioned on the rear side of the smartphone. The users can activate this just by visiting Settings > Security and Privacy > Face Unlock>.
Honor 7X will bring an AR Lens for the front-facing camera. Through this feature, the users can change the backgrounds and add effects at the time of taking selfies. To utilize AR Lens, it can be activated by visiting into Camera > Modes > AR Lens.

Apart from AR lens and face unlock feature, the Honor 7X also comes with a new smart feature for lock screen notifications that allow users to Hide the secure the content shown in display notifications. This feature can be activated by visiting Settings > Security and Privacy > Face Unlock > Smart lock screen notifications.
Finally Honor 7X, also come with certain optimizations for the weather app which helps in improving the accuracy of city names.
To recall, Honor 7X was launched in December in previous year priced at Rs 12,999 for 32GB Variants and 64GB variant costing Rs 15,999. The Honor 7X has a 5.93-inch full-HD IPS display along with resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and also has 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a company’s Kirin 650 octa-core processor matted with 4GB RAM. It is available in two storage variants: 32GB and 64GB internal storage capacity and the storage capacity can be further extended up to 256GB via micro SD card. The phone packs a 3340mAh battery. The Honor 7X get dual rear camera setup along with 16 Megapixel and 2 Megapixel. The smartphone sport 8 Megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling along with LED flash. Both, front and rear cameras support bokeh mode.
