The smartphone manufacturer companies have been putting efforts to offer well- advanced technologies smartphones to the users. Motorized phones have been trending these days in the smartphone industry. After the launch of Mi Mix 3 and Oppo Find X, Honor has launched the Honor Magic 2 at a mega event scheduled in Beijing on October 31, 2018.
The Honor Magic 2 features a triple lens camera on the rear panel, the company’s owned latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC 7nm, under- display fingerprint scanner, a larger 6.39-inch AMOLED display, 3D face unlock, motorized camera on the front panel, 3D face unlock, 40W Magic Charge fast charging technology. Apart from that, it comes with Yoyo AI-based virtual assistant which is the key highlighting feature of recently launched Honor Magic 2.
The quite interesting part is that Honor has offered hexad (six) cameras on Honor Magic 2 consisting of three on the front and three on the rear panel.
The Honor Magic 2 comes with a starting price of CNY 3,799 (approximately Rs. 40,300) for base 6GB /128GB storage. A middle 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 4,299 Rs. 45,600) and high- end 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant costs CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 50,100).

The pre-bookings of Honor Magic 2 will start at 12 AM (IST) on November 1, though the smartphone will be available for purchase from November 6 on company’s VMall e-commerce site.
The Honor Magic 2 has a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. The smartphone offers screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels, 403ppi pixels density, 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and DCI-P3 (108 percent) color gamut. In terms of software, it runs on top of the line Android 9.0 Pie Operating System (OS).
Under the hood, there is a HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 1.92GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.It has been ;launched in three storage variants 6GB RAM/128GB ROM, 8GB RAM/ 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM/ 256GB ROM.
The front camera and 3D Face Unlock sensor is hidden with a sliding design. To capture selfies, the users have to slide down the device. The Honor Magic 2 features triple lens camera on the rear panel. It gets 16MP+24MP+16MP with an aperture of f/1.8, f/1.8 and f/2.2 respectively. The rear camera set up is accompanied by an LED flash and comes with AIS technology for image stabilization.
One must note that the Honor Magic 2 does not support microSD card. The smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, dual- SIM and a USB Type-C port. It comes with a USB Type-C Port instead of 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Honor Magic packs a 3,500mAh battery bundled with 40W Magic Charge for fast charging which the company claims can charge the full battery only in 55 minutes. The dimensions of the smartphone are 157.32x75.13x8.3 mm and weight is 206 grams. It is being certified with an IPX2 rating which protects the device from splashes and dust.
