This Indian summer, Airtel has partnered with premium smartphone maker Samsung. One of India’s leading telecom operator will sell the new flagship offerings from Samsung, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, via its online store. The two premium smartphones were launched by Samsung at its Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event ahead of the MWC 2018. Smartphone lovers can pre-book either of the two phones on Samsung's online website for Rs. 2,000 only. Pre-Booking can be done via offline channels as well.
Airtel users must visit the Airtel Online Store or download the My Airtel App at the earliest for pre-registration. The pre-registration will be open until March 4. As per Airtel, pre-registering allows interested buyers to purchase the devices before others.
Go to the Airtel Online Store. Click on the first two links which are related to the smartphones. Fill in the required details which include basic info like Phone Number, Name etc.
On completing the above steps, Airtel will send you a link on your registered email id. The link would be an invite for booking the Samsung Galaxy S9 on the launch date. The invitees would get preference over others to order the smartphones on the date of launch.
1. Pre-registrations are open for postpaid and prepaid subscribers alike.
2. Prepaid subscribers need to get a new Postpaid connection or shift existing Airtel Prepaid connection to Postpaid.
Samsung has set March 6 as the India launch date for Samsung Galaxy S9. The selected release date for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is March 16. As of now, the South Korean phone maker has kept curtains on the official release date for India too.
The premium segment phones will lock horns with the likes of iPhone in its category. The 64GB model of Samsung Galaxy S9 will in all probability come with a price tag of Rs. 57,900 (MOP). The 64GB model of the Galaxy S9+ can be yours for Rs. 64,900. As per reports, Samsung has no plans to launch the 128GB variant of the smartphones. Nevertheless, Indian Consumers can lay their hands on the 256GB variants of the two smartphones for Rs. 65,900 (S9) and Rs. 72,900 (S9+) respectively.
