HTC has unveiled its Desire series 828 Dual SIM smartphone to feature adorable specs in the mediocre range market. The device has been certified from China certification and is now listed on company’s China website. The handset is also available for pre-orders via HTC's official online store priced at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 16,500). No words have been uttered yet on the launch of the smartphone outside the boundaries of China.
The HTC smartphone is claimed to be the first smartphone in the Desire series to get packed with OIS (optical image stabilization). The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense. It features 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It grabs its power from an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM.
Under the hoods, the device has 16GB of in-built storage that is expandable to 2TB via microSD card slot expansion. The handset sports dual-SIM supportability that too for Nano SIMs on both slots. The shooter’s front facilitates 13 megapixel camera at the rear end with LED flash, OIS, BSI sensor and full-HD video recording. The selfie edge includes an UltraPixel front camera with a BSI sensor.
The connectivity options to explore includes Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, Micro-USB and 4G LTE TDD connectivity with support for Indian networks. Measuring 157.7x78.8x7.9mm, it packs 2800mAh battery. The battery backup is charming for the longer talk time hours. The other options to explore the device has sensors including ambient light, accelerometer, compass and magnetic sensors. It also sports HTC BoomSound technology, which is complemented by Dolby Audio as well.
