The Huawei Honor 6, a budget smartphone, has come up with the marshmallow update, for its users in India. Being the third largest mobile manufacturer in the world, Huawei has to keep its customers happy. Several other Huawei smartphones have already received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and now it’s time for the Honor 6.
The OTA update is now showing up for users in India, which weighs around 700mb. The build number for the new OS is H60-L04C675B810. If you haven’t received the notification yet, do not worry, the update is being delivered in stages. You can also go to Settings>About Phone>Software Update to manually check for the marshmallow 6.0 update.
The features of the core Android 6.0 Marshmallow update include revamped app permissions; Google Now on Tap feature; new Chrome feature that will change the Web experience for Android users; new ways to handle Web links; Android Pay mobile payment system; new fingerprint APIs for developers to add into their apps, New Silent feature for sound and vibrate mode, as well as a 'Do Not Disturb' mode to block all sounds or only alarms and notifications, and a battery saver feature called Doze that will make Android devices smart about managing power.
Before updating your smartphone to the latest Android 6.0, make sure you have more than 50 percent charge and are on a WiFi network. The Marshmallow update includes new features such as Doze, Google Now on Tap, slight UI changes, improved performance and individual app permissions for the users of Honor 6 smartphones.
