After rumors and leaks, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are now officially unveiled by the Chinese company at an event in Paris on 27th March. As expected, Huawei P20 Pro has a triple- lens camera at the back whereas Huawei P20 comes with a regular dual- rear camera setup.
Both, Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro looks identical to each other in terms of design but there are some minor changes in the internals. The Huawei P20 gets a 5.8-inch full HD+ resolution display along with 18.7:9 aspect ratio whereas, P20 Pro bears a 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Both of the smartphones have a notch on the top of the display similar to Apple iPhone X which houses the front camera, earpiece and proximity sensor.
Both of the smartphones come with similar screen resolution i.e., 2,240 x 1,080 pixels. Huawei Pro and P20 Pro will be available in four color options: black, midnight blue, pink gold, and twilight. The smartphones also have a wireless charging support.

The Huawei P20 costs at Euro 649 (roughly Rs 52,000), while the pro variant will be whooping at 899 Euros (roughly Rs 72,000). So far the there is no information when the Chinese company would unveil P20 series smartphones in India.
Both the P20 and P20 Pro are embedded with the company’s owned Kirin 970 octa-core processor along with AI features. Both the smartphones run on latest operating Android Oreo 8.1 with EMUI 8.1. Due to the presence of AI features the smartphone can recognize automatically 500 scenarios in 19 categories and the user is able to select photography modes in the camera setting as per the feasibility while capturing the photo.
The P20 has a 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, the smartphone does not support the memory card, whereas the P20 Pro is equipped with a 6GB of RAM and 128 inbuilt storage. The P20 is powered by a 3400 mAh battery whereas, P20 Pro comes with a larger 4000mAh battery under the hood. Both of the smartphones also support Google-owned ARCore for advanced augmented reality capabilities.

In terms of optics, both the P20 and P20 Pro sport a 24-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfies and video calling. The Chinese company is also offering AI features in the camera app which allows the users to click better selfies.
Huawei P20 is said to feature a Leica dual rear camera setup which includes a combination of 20 MP sensors and a 12 MP sensors with 1.55 μm pixel size.
On another hand, Huawei P20 Pro comes with a Leica triple camera which comprises a 40MP RGB sensor with an aperture of f/1.8,, a 20MP monochrome sensor with an aperture of f/1.6and an 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 with the telephoto lens. P20 Pro is the first smartphone which is being offered by Huawei featuring a triple lens camera. The company says that the Huawei P20 Pro also has a color temperature sensor for better color production. The company claims that with the help of triple lens camera, the user is able to capture low light photos up to ISO 102400.
Both the P20 and P20 Pro support for six-axis stabilization and also have a 960fps super-slow-motion video recording mode which looks similar to Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Huawei P20 Pro certified with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
Both P20 series smartphones are enticing and rival with iPhone 8 series and Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.
