Huawei, Chinese smartphone manufacturer has recently launched Huawei Y9 (2018) mid-range smartphone specifically in Thailand. The internal specifications of Huawei Y9 (2018) are similar to Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9i. It is anticipated that the Huawei Y9 (2018) will be available at EUR 200 (roughly Rs. 16,000).

Huawei Y9 (2018) runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0. It features a 5.93-inch full-HD+ display along with 18:9 aspect ratio that means smartphone comes with a bezel-less display and having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It is powered by a company’s owned octa-core, Kirin 659 chipset SoC which is clocked at a maximum speed of 2.36GHz along with eight- processing cores. The processor of the new Huawei smartphone is identical to previously launched Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9 Lite. The company is offering 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 256GB with the help of memory card.

The Huawei Y9 features a quad- cameras which include dual-camera on the front and dual on the rear panel. The rear- camera setup comes with a 13-megapixel primary image sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor coupled with a LED flash. At the front, the smartphone sport a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The smartphone has a 4000mAh battery under the hood. The rear- camera is positioned horizontally on the back panel of the smartphone. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the rear side of the smartphone. The weight of the smartphone is 170 grams and has a 7.9mm of thickness. The company is offering the smartphone in three color options: Black, Gold, and Blue.
So far, the company has not disclosed the information regarding the price and availability of the new smartphone and currently it is available only in the Southeast Asian market. Currently, it is not clarified that when the company will unveil Huawei Y9 (2018) in other markets other than Thailand. The launching information of Huawei Y9 (2018) in Thailand was firstly spotted at Winfuture.de. It is anticipated that it will be available at EUR 200 ($246).
