In-built Microphone Issue Adds to the Problems of Nexus 6P Users

When it comes to Android phones, users look out for Google phones for the reliability and the trust it has entitled itself with in all these years among all its user base. But, recently it looks like Google is having some serious issues as its recently launched product titled Nexus 6P is getting the fame but for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier last month, Google introduced its latest Nexus smart phones, manufactured by LG and Huawei. While the LG-made Nexus 5X is the cheaper of the two at Rs 31,990 onwards, the one manufactured by Huawei is larger in display size and has been priced at Rs 39,999 onwards. But, looks like Huawei has to answer some very serious questions asked by Google since the customers earlier complained that the glass covering the rear camera shattered soon. Even before the company officials can workout the solution to this issue, there are now concerns about the in-built microphone as well.

When researchers tested the device for confirmation they found that the microphone in the Huawei-Google Nexus 6P gives out low-quality, muffled, in-call sound. There is a mixed response from the user side as some users are reporting that covering the rear-mounted microphone which is used for noise cancellation – resolves the problem. The other group of users state that it’s covering this microphone that causes the issue. The only one thing they unite as one is that there are a decent number of people who find their voice being poorly received by the other person in the call.

Just like any other smartphone sold today Nexus 6P too comes with a number of microphone and the sole purpose of companies to do so it to remove ambient noise. This factor leads the developers and researchers to think upon the prospect that there might be some software issue that's making the phone behave so weird. Even on XDA one theory is that there’s a software bug with the noise cancellation. However, if the concerns are due to hardware problems, Huawei might be faced with serious implications including product returns.Meanwhile, Google has acknowledged the issue and is seriously looking into the matter to resolve it at the earliest.
