Infinix Smart 2 Launched in India

Infinix, Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer announces new budget segment smartphone in India, dubbed as Infinix Smart 2 at a starting price of Rs 5,999. Some of the impressive features of Infinix Smart 2 include 18:9 aspect ratio, dual 4G VoLTE support, Face Recognition, Android Oreo and more.

Infinix Smart 2 Price and Availability

Infinix Smart 2 has been priced at Rs 5,999 for base 2GB RAM+16GB variant, while the top 3GB RAM +32GB variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. Both of the variants of Infinix Smart 2 will be available for purchase from 10th August on Flipkart. The company has launched the smartphone in four color options including Bordeaux Red, City Blue, Sandstone Black, and Serene Gold.

Infinix Smart 2 Specifications

The Infinix Smart 2 comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ FullView LCD display which offers the screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, 500 nits of brightness and 83 percent screen-to-body ratio. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System layered with company’s owned XOS 3.3.0 Lite Hummingbird.

The smartphone comes with a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC clocks at 1.5GHz. The smartphone is bundled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.

In terms of photography, the Infinix Smart 2 comes with a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture lens of f/2.0 offering phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and an LED flash. Up front, the smartphone gets an 8-megapixel front-facing camera featuring f/2.0 aperture lens and dual tone LED flash.

The Infinix Smart 2 supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual- sim and microSD card. Sensors on the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The budget segment Infinix Smart 2 has a battery back up of 3050mAh.

The company claims that the smartphone can be rated to deliver 81 hours of music playback, 21 hours of standby time with a single charge.

Last month, the company launched the Infinix Hot 6 Pro at a price tag of Rs 7,999. The Infinix Hot 6 Pro features a 5.99-inch HD+ FullView LCD display, Android Oreo, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC and more.
