Wednesday is the precious day for Apple lovers who were curiously waiting for the next generation of iOS to come. Now, the iOS 8 is here for iPhone and iPad users ahead of iPhone 6 appearance in market. Yes, the latest iOS is ready to download for free which is compatible with iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Fifth generation iPod touch and iPad Air, Retina iPad mini, iPad mini 1, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 users can also take the experience of iOS 8 update.
Indian users can get the free download of iOS 8 after 10.30pm IST from tonight, while the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are 2 days far to being available. It is expected that both recently launched Apple devices will come on the Indian floor on October 17. However, reports are also claiming it as another word on the street of rumours for iPhone 6 arrival.
Apple was first announced iOS 8 in its annual developers conference in June and now the latest mobile platform is out for download. On the other side, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will come preinstalled with this latest platform. The Cupertino giant has also made the iOS 8 to be synchronized with Company’s HomeKit that can control lights, door locks, thermostats and security systems. It is also said that iOS 8 and Android L share few similar features. Check what’s the similarity and dissimilarity between both.
The beta version of iOS 8 update is available for download. In the new iOS, not only the home appliances are going to be smart, SIRI is also here to control lights and thermostat setting when told it, "Get ready for bed."
The new iOS is faster and very simple to use. It has new Message and Photo feature to give a complete new experience. And, the QuickType keyboard and Notification are just awesome. It also has a new Health app to track your fitness. There is a new feature called Continuity that can be handed off a task on one system to another system.
