This session seems busy for Apple, because the firm is continually announcing bevy of new products after taking a little interval. After introducing its hotly-anticipated gadgets: iPhone 6 and Apple watch, now the tech giant has again shown off an unique definition of advancement and excellence by a new series of iPads. At this place, the latest version of iOS 8 Operating system, called iOS 8.1 has also been debuted on Oct 16.
Apparently, the Senior VP of software engineering at this Cupertino based firm, Craig Federighi has proclaimed about this iOS 8.1 update at October 16 event. This new version of OS has been said to improve system stability and manifests itself to fix various bugs of its predecessor. Here, the most highlighted feature is the comeback of camera roll. Obviously, it is a big news for the consumers who had mourned over the loss of this trait due to arrival of iOS 8.
As we know, Camera roll was simply a folder on Apple devices that stores all snapped photos. However, after the inception of iOS 8, brand has replaced this title by a new name: "recently added", which use to house every captured image. But, the bug was that it also holds deleted pictures by a user in the last 30 days that means images can not be fully deleted from the handheld.
Hashing about some other amelioration, then this new edition has also added support for digital payment mechanism, Apple Pay and iCloud photo library. As per the reports, the latest firmware will get access to the public beta of Photo Library and it will tap into iCloud storage. This new aggregation will capacitate the users to edit photos and videos with full resolution on Apple's devices, where 5GB of storage will be free.
It has been asserted to solve Wi-Fi connectivity problems that issues with HealthKit and HomeKit. Earlier, the corporation has mentioned in its WWDC event, that its latest OS will bring the Continuity features as well as support for SMS Handoff. Again, it's an exciting new that this version is compatible with iMac's new operating system: OS X Yosemite. That means the users can respond and receive text messages as well as to iMessages from Yosemite running Macs via phone's cellular connection.
Furthermore, iOS 8.1 will be available for download from the 20th of October through iTunes for devices that can run iOS 8 such as iPhons from 4S, all iPads aside from the first-generation, fifth-generation iPod Touch and third-generation Apple TV.
