Amazon India, along with some other select carriers in Asia has now started rolling out a 32GB variant of iPhone 6 smartphone. Surprisingly, Apple has never introduced any 32GB variant of its iPhone 6 handset. iPhone 6 was only introduced in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants across the world. The 32GB variant has been introduced by third-party retailers, not the giant techno manufacturing firm.
Amazon India is delivering the 32GB variant of iPhone 6 in Grey colour variant with a price tag of Rs 28,999 till Tuesday, March 7. The company is also providing a special exchange offer, in which you can exchange your old smartphone and can get a discount of up to Rs 8,550. Moreover, 16GB iPhone 6 variant is also available on the shopping portal with a price tag of Rs 30,399.
Seems like the 32GB variant of iPhone 6 is exclusive to Amazon and will not show its availability on any other portal. Reportedly, India is not the only country where this variant has shown up, a new storage variant of the model in Gold colour will also be made available in Taiwan on March 10, and has already shown its availability in China since February.
Apple, after the launch of its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus had discontinued its iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets last year. Currently, the lowest-end model available by the company is iPhone SE.
