Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has uncovered the wrap from a box to showcase its sole device, the iPhone 6. As the overtalks for the much anticipated iPhone 6 has been outreached to the extremity, the Company has arrived with a complete new hypothesis, the bigger in screen size and the advanced in features. Two variants of the premium device have been released, 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and the bigger 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus.
Swinging between the certainty and uncertainty, finally we have reached to the culmination which is speaking about the real iPhone 6. Well, here we will talk about the bigger one. Let’s begin with the bigger than bigger iPhone 6 Plus.
The 'Apple phablet' has come in the race of phablets to leave all others behind. People were seemed amused when the press event at Cupertino, California was presenting their stout device. Toting a 5.5-inch 1080p Retina HD display, this device has led the event. The display is designed meticulously with ion-strengthened glass (rumored for Sapphire Crystal Glass Display) and has sRGB to deliver high contrast and accurate colors with pixel density of 401ppi.
Although, there is not a big change in the design of both recently launched smartphones except the size. Both also share the same specs and features, but differ in the battery capacity. Its 7.1mm thickness and curved edges make it the thinner and sleek device with premium looks.
What’s next in the line of specification to make it prominent one is Company’s new 64-bit A8 chipset which is claimed as 50 percent faster in performance than A7. The new M8 coprocessor also helps to improve the performance.
Well, I’ m feeling little bit disappointment when penning out the iSlight camera resolution over here which is of just 8MP clarity, no enhancement has been seen over there. Its camera also features f/2.2 aperture lens coupled with the same True Tone flash which has been seen in iPhone 5s. But, it doesn’t mean that iPhone 6 Plus has lost in the shooting section as it features phase-detecting autofocus, improved face detection and a new Best Shot mode.
The marvelous one is optical image stabilization. Now, user can record videos with 1080p resolution at 30 to 60 frames per second and with 240 frames-per-second mode, the slow motion video becomes more lively than predecessor have. And, what I have elaborated about the FaceTime HD camera which can take 10 selfies in a second with its new burst mode. More brightness and more quality, only the front-facing snapper of iPhone 6 Plus can give with ƒ/ 2.2 aperatures lens.
The tingling excitement, I’m now feeling for writing about what we have got in WWDC 2014; the latest iOS 8. With more advanced features, it is loaded with two-paned landscape mode. Using the Touch ID button, one handed mode can also be set for the device to make it handier to access. It will move all of the icons and apps to the lower half of display to make it easy to access.
The Near-Field Communication (NFC) will also be supported by this phablet, the newest invention in the Apple’s history that has added mobile payment (Pay by Touch) via Apple Pay.
The biggest expansion in iPhone 6 Plus is its storage model. This time, the new 128GB model has been arrived, replacing the 32GB model of all previous phones. You’ll need to pay $299, $399 and $499 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models respectively. Pre-order for the handset will begin from September 12 and the Plus device will reach in stores to hit the market on September 19. It is said that Indians will experience this device on October 17. So, be ready to experience the bigger innovation of Apple i.e. iPhone 6 Plus in silver, gold and space gray colors.
