Itel which is a sub-brand of Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market, titled as Itel A44 Air. It is based on Google-owned Android Oreo Go Edition. The newly launched Itel A44 Air which the company claims that comes with great features such as AI- based dual rear cameras while the front camera supports facial unlock feature. Interestingly, it has been launched at an economical price tag. It must be noted that the Itel A44 Air is to be made available at offline retailers in the country.
The affordable Itel A44 Air has been priced at Rs 4,999 in the country. It is to be made available at all authorized offline retail stores in the country. The company has offered three color options including Blusher Gold, Elegant Blue, and Slate Grey in the Itel A44 Air and comes with a textured back panel for better handling.
Goldee Patnaik, Head of Marketing (Itel Business Unit) said in a press release while launching the Itel A44 Ai, “The Itel A44 Air breaks through by encompassing full-screen display, AI dual camera and face unlock, all at a budget-friendly price”. In respect of luring customers, the company is offering a 100-day replacement warranty on the purchase of Itel A44 Air.

The Itel A44 Air features a 5.45-inch FWVGA full-screen display that offers 480x960 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, thin bezels and 81 per cent screen-to-body ratio. As a part of Android Oreo Go Edition, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Unisoc (formerly Spreadtrum) SC9832E processor clocked at 1.4GHz. For storing content, the company has offered 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 32GB via microSD card.
For the photography purpose, the Itel A44 Air's comes brings dual camera sensors on the rear panel that consists of a 5MP primary sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor. The rear camera set up comes with the support of AI-powered features such as Super Night mode, Face Beauty Mode and portrait bokeh effect which allows users to capture impressive photos on the Itel A44 Air. Furthermore, for recording better videos the company has also offered AI HD video on the Itel A44 Air. Up front, there is a 2MP selfie snapper which comes with the support of the facial unlock feature.
The Itel A44 Air supports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM and microSD card as connectivity options. It is armed with a 2,400mAh battery that has been bundled with a power saving feature which helps to save the battery of the device.
