Itel, Chinese smartphone manufacturer has unveiled three smartphones in India recently with the name tag - Itel S42, Itel A44, and Itel A44 Pro. Itel S42 is the premium smartphone amongst all three. All of three smartphones come with features such as 18:9 aspect ratio display, 4G VoLTE connectivity, and front- flash modules. All of the smartphones will be available for purchase only at offline retail channels. Itel says that the deliveries of A44 Pro will start later in the country and so far the company has not disclosed the price details of A44 Pro.
The Itel S42 is launched at a price of Rs. 8,499, and it is available in two color options: Black and Champagne. On another hand, Itel A44 is available at a price tag of Rs 5,799, and the company is offering three color options in A44: Champagne, Rose Gold, and Red. Both Itel S42 and Itel A44 smartphones are equipped with protective covers. We mentioned above that yet the company has not officially revealed the price of A44 Pro in India.
The Itel S42 boasts a 5.65-inch HD+ IPS display along with the screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels and protected with 2.5D curved glass. 18:9 aspect ratio display is one of the features trending these days, though the smartphone manufacturing company are implementing in their latest or upcoming smartphones. 18:9 aspect ratio is the highlights of Itel S42. It runs on latest operating system Android 8.0 Oreo and supports dual- sim. It is embedded with a 425 Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC which clocks at 1.4GHz quad-core, paired with Adreno 308 GPU. In terms of storage, the smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 128GB with the help of memory card.

In the camera department, the Itel Itel S42 boasts comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a PDAF and flash. For the selfie snapper the smartphone sport a 13-megapixel front- facing camera along with LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the rear- panel of the smartphone.
The smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as a connectivity option.The smartphone is equipped with the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The dimensions of the smartphone are 153x73.55x8.25mm. It packs a 3000mAh battery, the company claims that the battery is rated to provide up to 21.5 hours of talk time on 4G and up to 400 hours of standby time.
Itel A44 is said to feature a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ display along with the screen resolution of 480x960 pixels. The smartphone also has an 18:9 aspect ratio display. Is is embedded with a quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. The smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel camera on both sides front as well as the rear side along with LED flash. The rear camera featuring a f/2.0 aperture.
The company is recommending that bike mode, face unlock, and fingerprint sensor on the rear side of the smartphone. It packs a 2400mAh battery which is rated to provide up to 240 hours standby time. The sensor on Itel A44 comprises the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The dimensions of the smartphone are 148x70.5x8.2mm.
The specifications of Itel A44 Pro is similar to A44, with the only difference is that A44 Pro sport a 5.45-inch HD+ display with the screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
In terms of optics, Itel A44 Pro sport an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a f/2.0 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling.
