To steepen this arena, a domestic mobile maker has come forward and brought Iris Win1 smartphone at a very affordable price tag. Customers need to pay only Rs. 4,999 to get this Windows handset.
Flipkart will be selling this handset and the sale will begin on Thursday. The e-commerce store will also offer flip cover and a screen guard along with device for free. Few more domestic makers have already enlisted their names in the same league such as Xolo, Karbonn, Micromax, and Celkon, with their Windows Phone based smartphones.
The dual-SIM handset is the first device of the Company that runs on Windows Phone 8.1 platform. Its 4-inch WVGA display offers 480x800 pixels resolution which is okay as per its affordable price tag. Lava Iris Win 1 takes the power from 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that is enough to make device’s performance efficient and speedy. A 1GB of RAM is outstanding for a low-cost device.
On the imaging front, a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera captures perfect images with the help of LED flash and BSI+ sensor. For selfie and video calling reasons, a 0.3-megapixel front-facing shooter also houses on-board. On the storage front, an 8GB built-in storage option is available which can be expandable upto 32GB. A 1950mAh battery is packed inside the Iris Win1. For connectivity purpose, Iris Win 1 comes loaded with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB options.
