The homegrown mobile maker: Lava has introduced two new low-cost handsets: called Iris 348 and Iris 349 Sleek at Rs. 3,099 and Rs. 2,999 respectively. Both the gadgets have been integrated with decent hardware and features in order to cater the need of folks that want to replace their feature phone from a dirt-cheap smartphone.
Talking about Lava Iris 348, device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and powered by a 1GHz single-core processor. This Dual SIM supported mobile features a 3.5-inch TFT display that confers a pixel resolution of 320 x 480p. In terms of imaging, handheld is paired 2-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash along with 0.3-megapixel selfie snapper.
Memory-wise, phone is arrayed with 256MB RAM along with 512MB of inbuilt storage, which can be extended upto 32GB by using a microSD card. On connectivity front, smartphone offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, GPRS, Bluetooth BT 2.1, but it doesn't support 3G networks. Powered by 1100mAh Li-Ion battery, Iris 348 has been rated to deliver 8 hours 5 minutes of talk time.
Coming to Iris 349 Sleek, gadget is almost identical to its market companion on various aspects. But, inclusion of a bigger 1300mAh Li-Ion battery and old-fashioned operating system of Google, Android GingerBread 2.3 makes the handheld different from its sibling.
As yet, both the creations of Lava have been cataloged on the company's official website with full specifications, but we are yet to hear some official words regarding an exact date of availability of both smartphones.
