Lava X28 Launched Featuring VoLTE With HD Voice Call Support

Domestic smartphone creator Lava Mobiles has brought forward a new X-series smartphone for its users in the country. The new gadget dubbed as the Lava X28 has been priced at Rs 7,349 and is available for purchase via all the retailers present across the country.

Lava recently also announced a one-time screen replacement offer that was valid only for 365 days. This offer was announced ahead of the festive season and was exclusive for Lava mobiles purchased between the dates of September 15 to November 15 with both the dates getting counted. Taking into consideration the popularity of feature phones which they equally share with smartphones, the company had released this offer for both the categories.

Talking about the specifications of new Android smartphone, it sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display that allows it to give a resolution of 720x1280 pixels alongside having a pixel density of 267 ppi. Its screen-to-body ratio is nearly equal to 67-percent and it being a Dual-SIM smartphone operates on Android v6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

Lava X28 comes with 4G support but in a way that it can be only activated on one SIM at a time and being 4G supportable, the device supports the following bands in India - FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz), Band 5, and TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz). The smartphone also supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility, a highlight of the handset.

On the camera front, the GSM-handset sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash coupled with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The Lava X28 packs 8GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Backed by a 2600mAh battery, the handset offers up to 14 hours of talk-time on 3G and up to 16 hours of talk time on 2G. For connectivity, the device offers GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth, FM radio, Micro-USB, and GPS options. It will be made available in two color variants namely Gold and Silver. Dimensionally, the handset measures 155x78x8.9mm and carries a weight of 175 grams.
