Lenovo has un-wrapped its new smartphone A526 in the budget range for Indian users. The company has promulgated that the Android phone will be available for public in the company’s store from April 5. The phone is priced at Rs. 9,499 for Indian users.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and features 4.5-inch display with 480x854 pixel WVGA resolution. Lenovo A526 is powered with 1.3 GHz MT6582M quad-core processor. This device is embossed with 1GB of RAM and provides 4GB in-built storage which is expandable upto 32GB through MicroSD card. Company’s budget smartphone is filled with many premium Doit apps and equipped with Wi-Fi, AGPS, Micro-USB, and 3G connectivity options.
It is shipped with 5-megapixel primary camera, along with 0.3-megapixel secondary camera. The smartphone is coupled with a powerful battery which has 2000mAh capacity.
"Out of the 876 million mobile phone users in India, about 10 percent of the users own a smartphone. However, today there is an influx of devices specifically targeted at this untapped segment in fast-growing markets like India. With the Lenovo A series range, we are looking at revolutionizing the concept of budget phones in India by offering consumers a superior smartphone experience at an affordable price point," Director of Smartphone, Lenovo India stated.
Lenovo had unveiled Vibe Z in the last month which is priced at Rs. 34,999. This smartphone is shipped with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and fitted with 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, features 5.5inch screen with good resolution.
