Lenovo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has expanded its line up by launching two new smartphones, dubbed as Lenovo K5 Pro and K5s particularly in the China market.
The main attractions of Lenovo K5 Pro include dual cameras on the rear and front panel and a massive 4,050mAh battery.
The specifications of Lenovo K5s are similar to that of the Lenovo K9(Also known As K5 Note) that was recently launched in the Indian market with the major difference being a 4GB RAM. Both, Lenovo K5 Pro and Lenovo K5s have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Alongside Lenovo K5s and Lenovo K5 Pro, the Chinese tech giant has also launched hybrid smartwatches for kids, dubbed as Watch S and Watch C.
In China, The Lenovo K5 Pro has been priced at CNY 998 (approximately Rs. 10,500) for the base 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage variant, while the higher 6GB RAM /64GB storage model costs CNY 1,098 (approximately Rs. 11,600) and lastly the high-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant comes with a price tag of CNY 1,298 (approximately Rs. 13,700).
The deliveries of Lenovo K5 Pro will start from 25th October in China. It has been launched in Black and Gold color options.
Now moving to the Lenovo K5s, it comes with a price tag of CNY 798 (approximately Rs. 8,400). It will be available for purchase from 23rd October in two color options including Black and Blue.
The Lenovo K5s will be made available at an introductory price of CNY 698 (approximately Rs. 7,400) for a limited period of time, however, the deadline has not been announced by the company.
The Lenovo K5 Pro has a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers 450nits brightness, 2.5D curved glass display. On the top, the smartphone gets Corning gorilla glass 3 for the security purpose which protects the smartphone from damages and scratches.
From the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo layered ZUI.
As a part of the hardware, the Lenovo K5 Pro has been bundled with an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 509 GPU. For storing content, the company has offered 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage options, accompanied by microSD card support (up to 256GB) as well as compatibility with dual-SIM.
For photography, the Lenovo K5 Pro has vertically positioned dual rear cameras consisting of a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor with features like LED flash and an aperture lens of f/2.0 Up front.
The smartphone also has front dual cameras setup which retains the same 16MP+5MP sensors for selfies and video calling. The front camera setup also features an LED flash and an aperture of f/2.0.
The Lenovo K5 Pro supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS, and USB Type-C port. A fingerprint sensor is positioned on the rear panel. The device packs a 4,050mAh battery along with fast charging capabilities. It measures 155.98x74.98x7.98mm and weighs 165 grams.
Now moving to the Lenovo K5s specifications, it comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ display which offers 720x1440 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D glass protection. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo skinned with ZUI.
Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek MT6762 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be extended up to 256GB by using a micro SD card.
The Lenovo K5s packs dual cameras on both rear and front panel. The rear camera set up has 13MP+5MP sensors, and the smartphone retains the same 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor for selfies and video calling as front dual camera setup. Both front and rear cameras are accompanied by dedicated LED flash.
The connectivity options on the Lenovo K5s include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and hybrid dual sim slot. It gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which unlocks the smartphone quickly. It packs a 3,000mAh battery. The dimensions and weight of the smartphone are 153.8x72.9x7.95mm and 155 grams respectively.
As of now, the Lenovo has not disclosed the Lenovo K5 Pro and K5s Prices for other markets including India. To recall, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer had recently introduced the Lenovo K9 and Lenovo A5 in the Indian market.
