LG, the South- Korean giant announces the new smartphone in its Q- series, dubbed as LG Q8 (2018) in its home- country South- Korea. LG Q8 (2018) is a successor of the previously launched LG Q8, though the former comes with some impressive features, upgradations, advanced hardware and latest operating system. It has been priced at KRW 539,000 which roughly translates to Rs 32,900. The company has launched the smartphone in two color options including Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue.
The LG Q8 (2018) is certified with IP68 rating which protect the smartphone from water and dust particles. It has been developed with MIL-STD 810G which enhances the durability of the smartphone. The LG Q8 (2018) features a stylus pen which allows the users to make notes/ memos directly on the display. Further, it comes with a ‘Pop memo' feature that lets the users to take out any of the note from the screen whenever the stylus is not in use. Edit GIFs and draw images features are available in the LG Q8 (2018). The smartphone offers rich audio sound experience including DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and Hi-Fi Quad DAC technologies.
The LG Q8 (2018) comes with a 6.2-inch full-HD+ FullVision display with a screen resolution of 2160x1080 pixels along with 18:9 aspect ratio and 389ppi pixels density. It runs on top of the line Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further extended up to 2TB by using a dedicated microSD card.

In terms of photography, the LG Q8 (2018) comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a PDAF (phase detection autofocus) followed by an LED flash. Up front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera offering 100-degree super wide angle lens. The rear camera is equipped with LG’s Q Lens that can be used to analyze and find the things on the internet. Additionally, it allows the users to scan QR codes.
The connectivity options in the LG Q8 (2018) include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C 2.0. The smartphone has a rear- mounted fingerprint sensor lets the users to unlock the smartphone easily. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,300mAh battery with the support of Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Technology. The dimensions and weight of the gadget are 160.1 x77.7 x 8.4mm and 172 grams respectively. As of now, it is not confirmed whether the South-Korean giant would launch the LG Q8 (2018) in India or not.
