Until now, the phones believed to be launched as the first Windows 10 handsets went by the codenamed Talkman and Cityman. Now, they have been tagged as the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL after several rumors.
More information about Microsoft's next flagship has surfaced the Web. The company is planning to host a hardware event in October, where it will launch its two high-end Lumia smartphones. Now, a new report claims that the next flagship smartphone from Microsoft will be called the Surface Mobile.
Rumors of new Lumia smartphones have been circulating since last couple of months. The specifications of the phones have also been reported. The report however, adds that the Surface Mobile smartphone will come with a pen input device called "Surface Pen."
With the launch of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft is expected to unveil two new flagship smartphones the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The report says that the Surface Mobile, codenamed Project Juggernaut Alpha features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a six-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 3000mAh removable battery, wireless charging and a USB Type-C connector. Lumia 950 XL will allegedly feature a bigger 5.7-inch display, an eight-core Snapdragon 810 processor, and a 3300mAh battery and 4GB RAM.
Both handsets are to be configured with circulating 20MP rear-facing camera at the top and 5MP front-facing camera. Rumors also suggest that they will also feature a Windows Hello-powered iris scanner that will allow users to log in without the need for a passcode.
