Micromax, the domestic smartphone manufacturer has launched the Bharat Go smartphone in India at an affordable price of Rs. 4,399. The Micromax Bharat Go is the first Android Go-based smartphone which is being offered by Micromax and it was initially showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. The smartphone is bundled with airtel cashback offer worth amounting Rs 2000 as a part of Airtel Mera Pehla Smartphone Initiative which reduce the price of the smartphone from Rs 4,399 to Rs Rs. 2,399.
Android Go, which is created by Google specifically designed for entry-level or low- end smartphones. It is a lighter version of Android Oreo, but designed to run especially on low memory smartphones that either have 1GB RAM or 512MB RAM. Android Go- Edition smartphone is preloaded with apps such as Gmail Go, Maps Go, Files Go, Chrome, YouTube Go, Assistant Go, Play Store, and GBoard.
Micromax Bharat Go runs on Android Oreo Go edition. The entry-level smartphone bears 4.5-inch TFT display and the screen resolution of 480x854 pixels. The smartphone is embedded with quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor which clocked at 1.1GHz, coupled with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The internal storage capacity further extended up to 32GB by using the memory card. The smartphone supports dual-sim(Micro+Micro) along with 4G VoLTE.
In terms of optics, Micromax Bharat Go comes with 5MP camera sensors on both front and rear side. The smartphone is fueled by a 2000 mAh battery which the company claims that it can be rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, 180 hours of standby time. The smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro USB, OTG support, and 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of dimensions, it measures 136.5x67x9.6mm and the weight of the smartphone is 130 grams.

Previously this year in March, HMD Global launched Nokia 1 which is also based on Android Go Edition bears a 4.50-inch display and screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core processor which clocked at 1.1Ghz, matted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage.
