To stay in the market is the toughest challenge... But Motorola doesn't care anymore about this issue.

Yes!! The American Telecommunication Giant "Motorola" has recently launched its new smartphone - Moto E, only at Flipkart. The phone is not available in the general markets such as Mobile shops, Authorized stores, etc. Is this collaboration with Flipkart, going to prove an appropriate marketing strategy for Motorola or not?

Well, before discussing it, let us find out what does this phone promises to its users.

  • 1GB RAM
  • Good Processor (Dual Core)
  • Huge Memory (4 GB internal, 32 GB expandable)
  • 5 MP Camera
  • Good Battery Capacity (1980 mAh)
  • 4.3 inch Large HD Screen
  • Dual SIM support

Being enriched with that much smart features , it is available in a very amazingly reasonable price of just Rs. 6999/-

moto e at flipkart

Having blessed with almost all the good features and availability in very economic price makes it a best buy phone in this range.

Now coming back to our question that, "Is it a good choice as per market perspective for Motorola to sell this product only through the means of Flipkart ?" Well, here's the awaited answer

Major Buyers - People who requires almost all features in minimum price are the major buyers of this phone. These people are mostly the general & common public. Now, it is not necessary that they know how to use Internet? These people just go to their nearby mobile stores for purchasing any product.

Way of thinking of General Public - Although Internet Shopping is so much famous these days, but still a common man believes on what he see from his eyes in reality, rather than watching it on the Internet. Statistics says that 73 % of Mobile users first, make their mind to purchase a handset from a Mobile store and then go for Internet Shopping.

But this fact applies only to slightly high priced products. When it comes to buying an economic ranged item, people doesn't generally opt for Internet shopping. They just go and buy it from their nearby mobile store.

DECISIVE END - As Flipkart is the most famous & widely used Online shopping portal, and may become successful in attracting large number of buyers for this smartphone. But in our opinion, Motorola may go into some loss due to unavailability of this handset in the general market. Although Flipkart is surely going to earn huge profit. Now, what is going to happen, resides only in the lap of Future.
