Lenovo-owned company Motorola's Indian outlet Motorola India last year announced that the all the devices launched by the company will no longer be available exclusive on Flipkart for purchase, but will also be made available through other e-commerce websites. Updating the same announcement, the company on Tuesday confirmed that both the Moto G (Gen 3) and Moto G Turbo Edition will be now available for purchase via Amazon India, apart from Flipkart.
Currently, Amazon India only sells the 16GB variant of Moto G (Gen 3) and if what the company says is true then very soon even the 8GB variant will be available for purchase via Amazon India before the week ends. The company as an add-on also reported that other the e-commerce retail partners like Snapdeal and Amazon, the company also plans to launch the Moto devices through selected Airtel stores. As of now, Amazon India only showcases devices like the Moto E (Gen 2), and most recently launched, the Moto X-Force.
The company also slashed down the price of both variants of the Moto G (Gen 3) and of Moto G Turbo Edition. As of now 8GB variant of Moto G (Gen 3) is available at INR 9,999 while the 16GB is available for INR 10,999. The Moto G Turbo Edition, on the contrary, is now priced at INR 12,499 showing a difference of Rs. 2000 from its original price of INR 14,999.
Motorola G Turbo Edition is a dual-SIM variant that accepts two Micro-SIM and runs on Android Lollipop v5.1.1 carrying a weight of 155 grams. It houses 2470mAh battery and comes with a 5-inch display. It is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, equips itself with 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera along with 5-megapixel camera on the front end. Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G and is further equipped with a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
