Lenovo subsidiary Motorola launched its G5 Plus smartphone back in March in India as a Flipkart exclusive product, while its lower version the Moto G5 was available exclusively via Amazon India. But now it looks like the company has changed its mind and will sell the Moto G5 Plus via Amazon India too, as the device has been listed on the e-commerce website. The new Moto G5 Plus was launched in two variants in India including a 3GB RAM/16GB storage variant priced at Rs 14,999 and a 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant priced at Rs 16,999.
Notably, the 16GB storage variant is marked as unavailable at Flipkart, and Amazon India is also showing only 32GB storage variant in its listings. Both the smartphones are available in Gold and Lunar Grey colour variants on both e-commerce platforms. Apart from the online market, both the new Moto G series smartphones are also available via offline retailers.
As a recall, the Moto G5 Plus Android smartphone is blessed with a 5.2-inch full-HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded via microSD card. Interestingly, the Moto G5 and G5 Plus are the first G series smartphones to be blessed by an all-metal design.
In term of optics, the Dual-SIM smartphone packs a 12-megapixel rear camera along with dual autofocus pixels, 4K video recording, a f/1.7 aperture, and dual-LED flash. A 5-megapixel front shooter with a f/2.2 aperture and a wide-angle lens is also provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. The device also comes with TurboPower charging facility, which has been claimed to provide six hours of battery backup in just 15 minutes of charging.
