The MWC 2017 has been kicked off in Barcelona (Spain) and is going to continue until March 2nd. This year's event is expected to be even more extravagant and will see the launch of some top of the line mobile handsets from the leading smartphone maker of this planet. Stealing the show on the inaugural day, the Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its most anticipated mobile handsets, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. These latest Moto smartphones are incorporated with the refurbished design with a metal chassis and a circular camera frame at the back. The Moto G5 has been priced at EUR 199 (Approx. Rs. 14,000) and the Moto G5 Plus at EUR 279 (Approx. Rs. 19,500).
Both, Moto G5 and G5 Plus, come with Google Assistant feature and have fingerprint scanners below the Home Button. Further, both the smartphones come with exclusive Motorola features like Moto Display, Actions, twist gesture. Apart from these the Moto G5 plus has a new one-hand mode feature. Both these Moto smartphones operate on Android 7.0 Nougat and will be made available in Lunar Grey, and Fine Gold color variants.

The other specifications of Moto G5 mobile include a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and have been powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor. This latest Motorola handset will be available in 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, with the option to expand further via a microSD card slot(up to 128GB). On the camera front, the Moto G5 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera for selfies. The Moto G5 supports fast charging and comes with a 2800mAh removable battery.
Coming to the Motorola G5 Plus, this latest smartphone has a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and has been powered by the 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, and offers 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM models. It offers either 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage, with the option to expand further via a microSD card slot (up to 128GB). On the camera front, the Moto G5 Plus has been incorporated with the 12-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, 4K video recording, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-LED flash features. The handset has 3000mAh TurboPower battery that charges it for 6 hours usage in just 15 minutes.
Though, the Motorola has not yet disclosed the India launch date for both the smartphones, but is expected to release these in March. The Lenovo also announced that the India is the second best spot for the Motorola handsets in terms of market share and fetches 10 percent of overall sales.
