Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is ready to disclose the new year edition trim- R17 and R17 Pro. Oppo has not yet revealed anything about it, but it is expected that it will be like the limited edition model of Oppo R11s which was launched in 2017 same like that the R17 and R17 Pro will also come with the accessories like retail box, bundled gift and will also have a new colour option, redesigned UI with new themes, updated specifications and higher price tags.
On December 17, 2018, the Oppo R17 and R17 Pro New Year edition will be launched at an event in China. The details have not been yet specified but hint the features of the upcoming smartphones. The features and cost of Oppo R17 and Oppo R17 Pro has not yet been announced.

The Oppo R17 comes with Dual-SIM (Nano) and runs ColorOS 5.2 on Android Oreo. It sports 6.4-inch full HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display panel which covers 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC mated with
8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. It contains dual rear camera- 16MP primary sensor + 5MP secondary sensor coupled with an LED flash. Selfie camera bears 25MP Sony IMX576 coupled with f/2.0 aperture and AI portrait mode. The smartphone has battery of 3,500mAh.
The Oppo R17 Pro sports 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC mated with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. there are triple rear camera- 12 MP primary sensor (variable aperture of f/1.5-2.4) + 20MP secondary sensor (f/2.6 aperture) + TOF (Time of Flight) 3D camera sensor. The selfie camera sports 25MP with f/2.0 aperture. The battery is more than the Oppo R17 i.e. 3,700mAh. It also has a Super VOOC Flash Charge fast charging technology.
