HMD Global has officially launched the Nokia 3.1 Plus in the Indian market. The announcement of Nokia 3.1 Plus comes just after the launch of Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus which have been launched at Rs 10,999 and Rs 15,999 respectively. The Nokia 3.1 Plus is a successor of Nokia 3.1 which was launched in India in May 2018.
To lure customers, HMD Global has offered dual rear cameras in Nokia 3.1 Plus. A 3,500 mAh battery and 8MP selfie camera are some attractions of newly launched Nokia 3.1 Plus. The company reported that the smartphone is a part of Android One programmer that claims to receive monthly software and security updates for three and two years respectively.
In India, the Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 11,499 for 2GB RAM and 16GB storage configuration, though, the company has not revealed the price of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has been listed on official Nokia website that the deliveries of Nokia 3.1 Plus will commence from October 19 at offline and online retail stores including the Nokia website. It has been launched in three color variants including Blue, White, and Baltic. HMD Global has partnered with Bharti Airtel to offer 1TB internet data to customers on the purchase of Nokia 3.1 Plus.
The affordable Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a larger 6-inch HD+ IPS display featuring 18:9 aspect ratio. On the top, the new Nokia 3.1 Plus has been covered with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass which protects the device from damages and scratches. In terms of software, it gets Android Oreo Operating System, though it is a part of Android One programme that means it would receive software and security updates from time to time. One must note that notch is not available in newly launched Nokia 3.1 Plus, as the Finnish smartphone manufacturer has provided a notch in its recently launched Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus.
The Nokia 3.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) SoC integrated. It is available in two storage variants: 2GB RAM+16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage. Both of the variants supports microSD card under which the user can extend the storage up to 400GB.

The Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with dual rear cameras consisting of 13MP primary sensor featuring an aperture of f/2.0, PDAF and a 1.12-micron pixel size as well as a 5MP secondary sensor which offers an aperture of f/2.4, retain same 1.12- micron pixel size and fixed focus lens. Up front, the smartphone has 8MP selfie snapper with an aperture lens of f/2.2 and 1.12-micron pixel size.
The Nokia 3.1 Plus supports dual- sim (Nano), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,500mAh battery. The dimensions of the smartphone are 156.68x76.44x8.19mm.
Nokia 3.1 Plus Goes on Sale in India
The sale of Nokia 3.1 Plus has started on 19 October 2018, on online as well as offline channels. In addition to the usual retail channel, the company will be selling the device on Nokia.com. To get the hands on the device, the interested buyer can visit online or offline platform or outlet of their choice. HMD Global has teamed up with the Airtel to offer Airtel subscribers- on a plan for Rs 199, offering 1TB of 4G mobile data. The device is available in three colour options- Blue, White, and Baltic.
