Nokia 6.1 Plus Global Variant of Nokia X6 goes official in Hong Kong after being in the rumors from last few months. To recall, the Nokia X6 was launched this year in May only in the China market. It runs on the Android One being developed by Google.
Globally, Hong Kong is the first market in the southeastern China where the HMD Global has launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus before the roll out in other countries.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus shares the similar specifications with Nokia 6.1 (2018) except the operating system. The former runs on Android One whereas the latter is bundled with customized UI based on Android.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus has been priced at HKD 2,288 roughly translates to Rs 20,100 which will be available for purchase from 24th July 2018 in Hong Kong. The smartphone will be available in White and Blue color options. Previously, it was rumored that Taiwan is the first market to get Nokia 6.1 Plus globally ahead of other countries.
It is speculated that the Nokia 6.1 Plus soon to be launched in the Indian market in the coming months.
Nokia 6.1 Plus boasts a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display that offers a screen resolution of 1080×2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. It has a notch on the top of its display similar to an Apple iPhone X. As a part of the Android One programme, it runs on 8.1 Oreo operating system.
The smartphone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Internal storage can be expanded up to 400GB by using a microSD card.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus packs dual 16MP+5MP camera sensors on the rear panel. Up front, the smartphone has a 16MP selfie camera. The cameras have AI-powered capabilities offering optimized color contrast, depth of field and portrait lighting effects, facial unlock and HDR support which provides the better photography.
The camera app is preloaded with Bothie feature which lets the users use front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Under the hood, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is powered by a 3060 mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It is shipped with the 18W charger which can be rated to deliver up to 50 percent of charge only in 30 minutes.
Apart from facial unlock, the smartphone also gets a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. The dimensions of the smartphone are 147.2x70.98x7.99mm (excluding lens) enhanced to 8.59mm including lens and weight is 151 grams.
Nokia 6.1 Plus is a global variant of the Nokia X6 which was globally launched in Hong Kong earlier this month. Recently, HMD Global has started sending invites to press media for the launch event where the company is anticipated to launch the Nokia 6.1 Plus in the Indian market on 21st August 2018.
Currently, the company has not announced the price and availability details of the smartphone in India.
