A Punch- hole display has been the trend for the new year (2019) as various smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei, Honor, and Samsung have already launched the Huawei Nova 4, Honor V20 aka Honor View 20, and the Samsung Galaxy A8s respectively. All these devices have a punch- hole display for the selfie camera. It seems that HMD Global’s Nokia brand is now ready to join the race as the Nokia 8.1 expect to come with cut- out hole for the selfie camera. The leak is not confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be called with the name given but expected to be called as Nokia 8.1 Plus.
Recently, the rumored specifications and a 360-degree video of the Nokia 8.1 Plus have surfaced on the internet which suggests that the Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to come with a punch- hole display for selfies.

According to the leaks, the Nokia 8.1 Plus is likely to come with thinner bezels on all the corners of the screen. The chin is comparatively thicker along with Nokia branding which we can see at the bottom bezels. Furthermore, it will be having a punch- hole display for the selfie camera which is to be positioned on the top-left corner of the device.
We can see in the leaked images that a 3.5mm headphone jack is positioned on the top side while the volume rocker and power buttons are positioned on the left- hand side. At the bottom side, there is a USB Type-C port which is positioned between the bottom-firing speaker and the primary microphone. However, the information regarding the camera sensors of the Nokia 8.1 Plus is not available at the moment.
Now moving to the rear side, the device will be having a glass panel along with Nokia and Android One logo. The fingerprint scanner is positioned underneath the rear camera set up that features a Zeiss lens and a dual- tone LED flash. The dimensions of the device are 156.9 x 76.2 x 7.9mm. It is likely to run on Android Pie Operating System.
It is not confirmed that when HMD Global would unveil the Nokia 8.1 Plus but seems that it would compete against the likes of Honor View 20 aka Honor V20 which is set to launch in India on January 29.
