The recently leaked report claims that the HMD Global is likely to unveil Nokia 8.1 on November 28 in India. Apart from that, it is being speculated that it will be launched at a price tag of Rs 23,999.
The Nokia 8.1 is an elder sibling of Nokia 8 which was officially unveiled in India in 2017. It must be noted that the Nokia 8.1 is a rebranded name of Nokia X7 which was currently unveiled in the China market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.
The technological website reveals that the HMD Global is gearing to launch the Nokia 8.1 on November 28 at a price tag of Rs 23,999 which is quite similar to Nokia 7 Plus. The press invite of Nokia 8.1 is yet to be announced by the company as the Finnish smartphone manufacturer has not revealed anything officially about the Nokia 8.1.
As we already mentioned that the Nokia 8.1 will be a modified name of Nokia X7 China variant. So, the Nokia 8.1 shares the same specifications with Nokia X7. The alleged Nokia 8.1 is likely to come with 6.18-inch IPS LCD screen. On the top, it has a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass which secure the device from scratches and damages.

Under the hood, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with a 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. It will support micro SD card and dual SIM card slots (hybrid) which allows either to place one SIM card and one microSD card or both SIM cards.
For photography, there could be a dual- sensors on the rear panel consisting of a 12MP primary sensor featuring wide angle lens and a 13MP secondary sensor featuring telephoto lens. For selfies and video calling, there could be a 20 MP front- facing camera which is capable to record video at 1080 pixels resolution.
The Nokia 8.1 could be powered by a 3500 mAh Li-ion battery bundled with Quick Charge 3.0. Currently, HMD Global had unveiled the Nokia X7 in the China market with Android 8 Oreo OS but anticipating that the rebranded versions of Nokia X7 i.e., Nokia 8.1 will be shipped with Android 9 Pie with stock Android OS.
If we look into the specifications of Nokia 8.1 aka Nokia X7, it looks like that the Nokia 8.1 is a successor of Nokia 7 Plus rather than the Nokia 8. However, the Nokia 8 was launched with a much powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor than the Snapdragon 660/ Snapdragon 710 SoC.
