Nokia 8110 4G 'Banana' Phone Now Available For Purchase in South-East Asia

Nokia 8110 4G feature phone dubbed as ‘Banana' phone was unveiled this year in February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona as the successor of the legendary Nokia 8110 is now available for purchase on e-commerce platform Lazada in Singapore which has been priced at SGD 98 roughly translates to Rs. 4,900. Alongside Lazada, Amazon has also commenced the pre-bookings of Nokia 8110 4G 'Banana' phone in some European markets and it is anticipated that the deliveries of feature phone will start from 4th July. The feature comes with 4G VoLTE connectivity and the company adopted the old generation concept to create the banana phone is based on sliding- form factor. It runs on Smartphone Feature Operating System (OS) enables to operate numerous apps such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search and also features a refurbished Snake game.

Lazada, which is an e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, is selling the Nokia 8110 4G ‘Banana' phone in Traditional Black and Banana Yellow color options and also offering a 14-day return policy. In Amazon UK, the Nokia 8110 4G feature phone has been priced at GBP 78.56 roughly translates to Rs. 7,050. Amazon has commenced the pre-booking of Nokia 8110 4G feature phone in some European markets namely France, Italy, Germany and Spain it is available at EUR 90 (roughly Rs 7,050), however, the deliveries of the feature phone will start from 4th July. It is worth noting that the HMD Global has not revealed the pricing and availability details of Nokia 8110 4G feature phone in India.

Nokia 8110 4G 'Banana' Phone Specifications

The Nokia 8110 4G 'Banana' phone flaunts a 2.45-inch QVGA display with the screen resolution of 240x320 pixels and runs on Kai OS-based Smart Feature OS. The Nokia 8110 4G has dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 SoC clocked at 1.1GHz, paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage. The feature phone gets a 2-megapixel rear camera sensor offering an LED flash.

The Nokia 8110 4G 'Banana' phone comes with 4G VoLTE with hotspot functionality, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Under the hood, it is armed with a 1500mAh battery which can deliver 9.32 hours of talk time on VoLTE as well as 25 days of standby by time on LTE. The dimensions of the feature phone are 133.45x49.3x14.9mm.
