Mobile World Congress has been conducted every year where the major OEMs like Huawei, LG, Oppo showcase their latest flagships. This year the MWC is set to be conducted between 25 February 2019 to 28 February 2019. Nokia HMD Global has started sending invites to press media regarding the launch event which is scheduled on February 24 at 4.00pm local time (8:30 pm IST) in Barcelona, where the company most probably launch the much anticipated Nokia 9 PureView smartphone. Alongside Nokia 9 PureView, HMD Global would also showcase other smartphones namely Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 8.1 Plus. The Nokia 9 PureView will be the first flagship device from HMD Global which expected to come with a Penta-lens camera setup.
The information regarding the Nokia 9 PureView has been officially announced by HMD Global Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer via tweet. The Nokia 9 PureView rumored specifications were surfaced on the internet in the previous year, however, the launch of the smartphone gets postponed as the company stated that there is a delay in production in Penta lens camera set up on the rear panel. On the basis of the previous leaks, the Nokia 9 PureView is likely to come with a 5.99-inch QHD PureDisplay panel, HDR10 support, under- display fingerprint scanner, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. There is a probability that HMD Global might use Snapdragon 855 SoC in the upcoming PureView flagship. The Nokia 9 PureView would be shipped with Android 9 Pie Operating System which is to be based on Android One Platform.
As per the leaks, it is being speculated that the Nokia 8.1 Plus would also be showcased on February 24 in Barcelona one day before the MWC 2019. The unannounced Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to come with a punch-hole selfie camera. The upcoming Nokia 8.1 Plus is likely to come with dual camera sensors on the rear panel, Zeiss optics, dual- LED flash, a 6.22-inch screen display.
As per the teaser, India is to be the first country where HMD Global would launch the Nokia 1 Plus A recent report suggested that the Nokia 1 Plus would also be announced at MWC 2019. The Nokia 1 Plus will be the successor of the Nokia that was launched in India in the previous year. The Nokia 1 Plus would be based on Android One platform which is likely to be equipped with entry-level hardware, quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW SoC and a qhD+ display along with 480x960 pixels) resolution. At the software front, it will run on Android 9 Pie (Go edition) out-of-the-box.
A new unnamed Nokia smartphone has been spotted on the US certification site revealing the key specifications, the design of the upcoming device. The new Nokia smartphone brings a model number 1157 which is to be based on Android One platform. The listing reveals that the upcoming Nokia smartphone has vertically stacked dual cameras on the rear panel accompanied by a single LED flash. The fingerprint scanner is positioned just beneath the dual rear cameras and the design is similar to what Nokia has offered in recent flagship smartphones.
