HMD Global, the Finnish company is gearing to launch its first smartphone in X series, dubbed as Nokia X which is to be scheduled on 16th May in China. Previously, Nokia X has been rumored with Nokia X6 which was to be launched on 27th April in China, but the company has not revealed it in China and postponed the date from 27th April to 16th May. The information regarding the launch event of the rumored Nokia X has now been confirmed by the Nokia Mobile on Weibo. Various rumors of Nokia X have appeared on the internet till now and the company has revealed the new poster of Nokia X showcasing the front and rear panel of the smartphone.

Earlier this month, the company has confirmed the launch date and notch on the top of the display. After the confirmation of the launch date and notch, now the company has disclosed the venue details and timings of the launch event. As per the recent reports, the launch event will be conducted in Beijing, China on 16th May at 2 pm (CST). It is confirmed that the Nokia X will feature a cut-out display on the top and it will be the first smartphone from Nokia offering that brings a notch. The promotional banner also revealed that it will get a glass, aluminum body and dual rear cameras on the rear panel. The smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and with a Nokia branding at the bottom chin on the front panel of the smartphone.
The quite interesting part is that Nokia X will be launched on the same day when the OnePlus 6 is going to launch. OnePlus is expected to launch globally on 16th May in London
A couple of days before the official launch, the Nokia X has been spotted on TENAA Chinese certification website with the model number TA-1099. The listings have revealed specifications, design, and hardware of the rumored Nokia X or Nokia X6. It is anticipated that it will be available in four color options: Blue, Black, and Silver White.
As per the listings of TENAA, the Nokia X or Nokia X6 will feature a 5.8-inch Full HD+ TFT display along with 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will have the screen resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor clocked, paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage that can be expandable up to 128GB by using a memory card. It is anticipated that Nokia X will be available in two different processors - Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and MediaTek P60 coupled with 4GB of RAM. As posted by the technological website, it is speculated that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and MediaTek P60 will be priced at Yuan 1799 and Yuan 1599 respectively. It will run on Android 8.1.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
In terms of photography, the Nokia X or XC will come with dual 16 MP rear cameras. Earlier leak reports had suggested that rear will be equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens, but it is not mentioned in the TENAA listings. Front- camera spec is not available at the right now. In terms of connectivity, the Nokia X will come with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, USB support. Sensors on the smartphone will include gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor and fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, Nokia X will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. In terms of dimensions, it will measure 147.2×70.98×7.99 mm and weigh 151 grams.
