ZTE, the Chinese multinational telecommunications company has started working on the successor of Nubia Red Magic Gaming smartphone which is expected to be unveiled sooner in the near future. The specifications of Red Magic 2 has started surfacing on the internet via Weibo teaser image.
The ZTE made the announcement of Nubia Red Magic 2 just after the launch of Xiaomi Black Shark Helo and Razer Phone 2. It looks like, ZTE is now planning to unveil the Red Magic 2 Gaming smartphone soon in the China market to compete with Xiaomi and Razer in the niche of gaming smartphones.
To recall, the Nubia Red Magic from ZTE was launched internationally this year in the month of April. It is to be made available at crowdfunding site across the globe. Since the launch of Red Magic, its never been unveiled in the Indian market but now anticipating that it would unveil in November after festive season Diwali under the price range of Rs 30,000.
A teaser image of the rumoured Red Magic 2 has been posted by Nubia on Weibo, Chinese microblogging website which reveals some of the specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 10GB RAM of the upcoming gaming smartphone.
As per the teaser image, the Nubia Red Magic 2 is likely to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 10GB RAM which seems to be a major modification than the Snapdragon 835 SoC and 8GB of RAM. The teaser also indicates that the company has also unveiled 3D surround sound which pointing towards that the Red Magic 2 will feature stereo speakers.
A 4D gaming enhancement feature is also available in the teaser image but there is no clarity what it does.
It is anticipated that the upcoming gaming smartphone will be packed with air and liquid cooling technology which would help to cool the gadget while playing the extensive games on Red Magic 2. However, the previously launched Red Magica came with only air cooling tech.
The launch date of Red Magic 2 is not mentioned in teaser image but the previous Weibo post posted by Nubia General Manager Ni Fei suggested that the successor of Red Magic will unveil on October 31, though it is not confirmed that either it is a Nubia X or Nubia Red Magic 2. It is speculated that the Nubia would launch both of the smartphones at the same event.
The detailed specifications, confirm launch date and availability details of the Nubia Red Magic 2 is not available at the moment.
The key specifications of previously launched Red Magic have an air-cooling technology, a 16.8-million color RGB LED on the rear panel, gaming mode that helps to optimizes the performance of the device as well as deactivate notifications to prevent interruption.
It was created by an aviation-grade aluminum unibody design with a diamond-cut surface and 'vector aesthetics'. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System, a 6-inch full-HD+ LTPS TFT display along with 1080x2160 pixels resolution, a 24MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper.
