Oppo, on this Friday, has announced the arrival of its selfie-focused A57 smartphone in the country. The company has confirmed that the handset will be unveiled on 3rd of February in India, but the price is still unknown.
The Oppo A57 made its debut in China back in November 2016 with a price tag of CNY 1599 (Rs 16,000 approx). The Chinese smartphone manufacturer made the announcement on a tweet, saying, “The all new #OPPOA57 is hitting the markets on the 3rd of February.” The statement also point the same day availability of the handset in Indian markets.
Concerning the specifications, the Android smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD LCD display of resolution 720 X 1280 pixels along with a 2.5D curved glass. Powering the device will be an octa-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 505 GPU for improved graphics. The smartphone also packs 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded further up to 32GB via microSD card.
In term of optics, the Dual-SIM handset packs a 16-megapixel front sensor with f/2.0 aperture for awesome selfies and a 13-megapixel rear camera is also provided by the company with an aperture of f/2.2, and PDAF, along with a LED flash module. The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow customized with Oppo's Color OS 3.0 skin on top and also features a fingerprint sensor mounted on the home button of it.
The GSM based A57 is backed up by a 2900mAh battery and includes 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB, and 3.5mm audio jack as connectivity options. It measures 149.1x72.9x7.65mm and will be available in Rose Gold and Gold colour variants in the country.
