Oppo has finally launched its A5s smartphone in India. The newly launched smartphone comes with 4,230mAh battery and includes 2GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal memory respectively. Major specs of the smartphone include a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, 6.2-inch HD+ display, and a dual camera at the back. The Oppo A5s also comes with Music on Display, Smart Bar, and Smart Scan features. Apart from this, the device runs on Android Oreo-based on ColorOS 5.2.1.
The 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory variant of the Oppo A5s carries a price sticker of Rs 9,990 in India. This variant comes in two color options- Black and Red. While the price tag of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage variant is still under wrap. But it is said that it will be available from next month with two color options- Gold and Green.
The Oppo A5s can be grabbed through Paytm Mall, Amazon, Tata CliQ, Snapdeal and offline stores.
The Oppo A5s carries a dewdrop notch on the display that houses the front camera. The smartphone also has the Depth of Field effects along with a Rolling Shutter Compensation to reduce the warped jello effect videos. Oppo has also given a Smart Bar by which the user can easily and quickly shift between apps, transfer files, reply to messages and many more. There are also many shortcut tools like cutting and screen recording. The company has also included Smart Scan features like to scan business cards and also scan and translate the text from the images.
The Oppo A5s flaunts a 6.2-inch HD+ In-Cell display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC.
In the imaging department, the Oppo A5s at the back supports dual camera which includes a primary 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. At the front, for selfies and video calling, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.
The Oppo A5s comes with 2GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal memory. Both the storage can further be expanded via a microSD card slot up to 256GB.

The Oppo A5s has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The company claims that the 4,230mAh battery gives a long-lasting life to the smartphone. In terms of the connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, and Micro-USB port. The weight of the device is 170 grams and the dimensions are 155.9 x 75.4 x 8.2 mm. The handset comes with dual-SIM slot (Nano + Nano).
The Oppo A5s runs ColorOS 5.2 based Android 8.1 Oreo. in terms of the sensors, the smartphone comes with an accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light, and a proximity sensor.
