After being in the rumors from last few days, Oppo the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has finally launched the F9 and F9 Pro in the Indian market. To recall, the Oppo F9 was launched in the Vietnam market in the previous week along with VOOC charging and Water Drop Notch.
Both, the Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro share design and specifications. The major between both siblings have different RAM storage - the Oppo F9 comes with 4GB RAM, whereas the Oppo F9 Pro is bundled with 6GB RAM.
Both, the Oppo F9 and Oppo Pro have V-shaped Water- Drop Display Notch, VOOC charging technology, sleek design, the gradient rear panel are some of the highlighting features of the smartphone.
The Oppo F9 is the successor to Oppo F7 that was launched in India in the previous year as the company promises to deliver some dramatic changes in its upcoming smartphone. The design and specifications of much-rumored F9 and F9 Pro are not secretive, as it has leaked on the internet before the formal launch.
In India, the Oppo F9 is retailing at Rs. 19,990, whereas the Oppo F9 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 23,990. The deliveries of Both smartphones will start on 31st August that can be purchased via e-commerce platforms namely Flipkart, Amazon India, and Paym Mall and offline retail stores as well.
Prospective buyers can pre-order the Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 start from 21st August (today ). The company is offering Reliance Jio cashback offer and one-time screen replacement warranty on the purchase of Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro.
Both, the Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro shares similar design and specifications. Both of them having a a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS TFT display which offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Both of the smartphones run on advanced Android 8.1 Oreo - out- of- box skinned with ColorOS 5.2. The Oppo F9 and F9 Pro are powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
As we already mentioned that the major highlighting difference between both smartphones come with different RAM storage. The Oppo F9 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM and the Oppo F9 Pro has 6GB of RAM. Both variants of F9 from Oppo is bundled with 64GB that can be further extended up to 256GB by using a MicroSD card.
Both the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro packs dual 16MP+ 2MP cameras on the rear panel with an aperture of f/1.8 and f/2.4 respectively, though the rear camera set up has an LED flash. Up front, the smartphone has a 25MP selfie snapper offering the aperture lens of f/2.0. The camera app is preloaded with portrait mode, HDR mode, artificial intelligence (AI) based scene recognition, AI Beautification 2.1, AR stickers, and Slow Motion video mode.
Both Oppo F9 variants are armed with 3,500mAh battery with the company owned VOOC charging technology which would charge the smartphone rapidly. The connectivity options in the Oppo F9 Pro include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual- sim, microSD card.
The Oppo F9 Pro is equipped with an, ambient light sensor, e-compass, accelerometer and a proximity sensor. The dimensions of the smartphone are 156.7x74x7.99mm and its weight is 169 grams.
Oppo, the Chinese smartphone has silently launched a new 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of Oppo F9 Pro in India. Previously, the Oppo F9 Pro was launched with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage in the month of August 2018.
The Oppo F9 Pro new 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage costs Rs. 25,990 firstly revealed by Mumbai-based smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom on Twitter. The new variant 6GB/128GB variant is Rs 2000 costlier than the 4GB/ 64GB storage.
The previously launched 6GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage is available for purchase at a price of Rs. 23,990 in Starry Purple, Sunrise Red, and Twilight Blue Color options. Since its launch, it is available for purchase at several online platforms Flipkart, Amazon.in, and Paytm Mall as well as selected offline retailers. The new 6GB/128GB storage of Oppo F9 Pro has been listed on Amazon.in, though we are waiting for the official announcement by Oppo India.
