As expected, the much- anticipated Oppo R17 Pro has been launched in India on 4 December at an event in Mumbai. To recall, the Oppo R17 Pro was initially launched in China in August during this year. Before the official announcement of the device, the premium Oppo R17 Pro has been listed on the official website of Oppo and the pre-bookings started from December 1, 2018.
Oppo R17 Pro is the first smartphone in R- series being offered by Oppo in India. The key attractions of Oppo R17 Pro include water drop- shaped notch, Super VOOC charging, under - display fingerprint scanner, a larger 6.4-inch full-HD+ display, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 8GB of RAM.
In India, the Oppo R17 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs. 45,990 for single 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. In India, it has been launched in Emerald Green and Radiant Mist color options. The pre-bookings of the device started from December 1 at Oppo India website. The users can pre-book the Oppo R17 Pro at selected Oppo Stores and showrooms namely Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, Poorvika, Sangeetha, and Big C. It will go on sale from December 7, via Amazon India, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Reliance Digital, Croma, Poorvika, Sangeetha Mobiles, Big C, Airtel, Bajaj Electronics, and Vijay Sale.

The Oppo R17 Pro will be available for purchase from December 7 at various e-commerce platforms namely Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Reliance Digital, Croma, Poorvika, Sangeetha Mobiles, Big C, Airtel, Bajaj Electronics, and Vijay Sale.
HDFC credit and debit- card holders can avail 10 percent instant cashback on the purchase Oppo R17 Pro as well as EMI transactions. Oppo has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer cashback amounting Rs. 4,900 as well as up to 3.2TB 4G data on R17 Pro.
The potential customers can also avail other offers such as one-time screen replacement warranty, no-cost EMI options and up to Rs 2000 off in exchange of old smartphone with Oppo R17 Pro. Paytm Mall is offering a cashback of Rs 3,000 on Oppo R17 Pro which is available on selected retail stores.
It must be noted that alongside Oppo R17 Pro, the company has also launched the Oppo R17 in the India market.
As we already mentioned that the Oppo R17 Pro was initially launched in the China market, so the users are not eager to know the specifications.
The Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch full-HD having the screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the R17 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. For storage, the smartphone gets 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
For photography, the Oppo R17 Pro comes with a triple lens camera on the rear side. The rear camera set up includes a 12 MP primary sensor featuring an aperture of f/1.5-2.4 variable and OIS which is identical to the Galaxy S9, 20 MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.6 and a third Time of Flight (TOF) 3D sensing camera that essentially takes in-depth information for 3D-effect photos. For selfies and video calling, the RX17 Pro has 25 MP front-facing camera with an aperture lens of f/2.0 and AI features.
The Oppo R17 Pro has been equipped with a 3,700mAh battery along with the company owned Super VOOC fast charging technology.
The Oppo R17 Pro comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. It gets an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, in-display fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. It measures 157.6x74.6x7.9mm and weighs is 183 grams.
