The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition has a 10x lossless hybrid optical zoom that is the USP of the phone and explained through its name also. While the side-swing selfie camera as a common feature for both smartphones is another major highlight.
Also, international warranty service is being offered with smartphones. At the launch event, Oppo proposed the launch of its first premium flagship store in South Asia along with the hosting of the first sale in Hyderabad.

While the lower-spec Oppo Reno smartphone which is being offered only a single variant of 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage will cost you INR 32,990.
Both the smartphones, Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition and Oppo Reno will be available from June 7 at retail stores and Amazon. There are colour choices of Jet Black and Ocean Green for Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition.

If the specifications of the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition and Oppo Reno are concerned, both the models have some specifications in common. They run on the operating system- ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie and comes with Hi-Res and Dolby Atmos support as well. Furthermore, the provided HyperBoost improves the performance of the smartphones which are Game Boost 2.0 acceleration engine with Frame Boost and Touch Boost accelerations for the better mobile gaming experience.
Both the Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition get the safety of 3D curved glass to omit camera bumps and an O-Dot ceramic point placed to the slight left of the rear camera for protecting the lens to some extent. In addition to this, both the Reno series phones get an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a Shark Fin side-swing selfie camera design.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition features a 6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display. While it gets powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC processor in association with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.
In the photography aspect, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition flaunts triple camera set up at the back which comprises of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 (0.5-inch) sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and laser autofocus, a secondary 13-megapixel sensor with a periscope telephoto lens and a tertiary 8-megapixel sensor along with a super wide-angle lens.
As the company revealed in the Mobile World Congress 2019 which was held in February, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition smartphone provides 16-160mm full focal length coverage so that the 10x lossless optical zoom can be enabled. The company has also embedded a dual OIS support in the smartphone to minimize the jerkiness in the pictures. The smartphone also comes with the optimisations support which includes noise reduction, HDR support, as well as an AI-based Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and portrait mode.
Apart from this, the company is also offering features such as still shots and the smartphone also includes many video recording-focused offerings. There is also a 4K 60fps video capture support along with OIS support. The smartphone has been embedded with the three-microphone setup for the features including 3D surround audio capturing and audio zoom recording.
At the front, the lens is positioned inside the side-swing camera same like the Oppo Reno which opens up just in 0.8 seconds and the company claims that it has been tested for 200,000 times. The smartphone also comes with five portrait modes for giving you a perfect selfie.
The newly launched smartphone comes in two storage variant i.e. 128GB and 256GB onboard storage. In terms of the connectivity, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC, dual GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device gets fueled up by the 4,065mAh battery which comes with the support of VOOC 3.0. The dimensions of the smartphone are 162 x 77.2 x 9.3mm which weighs 210 grams.
The Oppo Reno sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ panoramic AMOLED display along with 93.1 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone comes with the sixth-generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The company claims that the display panel is ‘TUV Rheinland’ certified and comes with the support of DCI-P3 colour gamut. The smartphone gets the power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, mated with 8GB RAM.
For giving you the perfect photos and videos, the company has added dual camera setup in the Oppo Reno at the back which consists of a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. At the front, the smartphone flaunts the iconic Shark Fin side-swing selfie camera module which houses 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The selfie camera also comes with five portrait modes and uses AI to enhance the self-portraits.
The Oppo Reno comes with 128GB internal storage option. In terms of the connectivity, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. The device holds a battery capacity of 3,765mAh along with the VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. The handset measures 156.6 x 74.3 x 9mm and weighs 185 grams.
