Oppo Reno along with much-awaited and highly popular Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition has been launched in China. The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition is moving around as rumors from past many days and has become highly popular because of its 10x Zoom capability. After leaking videos and images, the company has finally launched its smartphones.
Both the smartphones flaunts a panoramic AMOLED display along with the protection of sixth-gen Corning Gorilla Glass. Instead of the notch, pop-up and punch hole, the company has adopted a side-swing selfie camera module which the company claims that it will spin out in just 0.8 sec. It not only holds selfie camera but also holds a front soft light, earpiece and a rear LED flash.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with the trending triple rear camera setup which houses a periscope telephoto lens to allow 10x zoom. Both the smartphones comes with the camera features like HDR support, multi-frame noise reduction, and hand-held anti-shake. There are multiple gradient options in the smartphones.
The price sticker of Oppo Reno in China is CNY 2,999 i.e. around INR 30,990 for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage variant. The 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard memory variant of the smartphone costs CNY 3,299 i.e. roughly INR 34,000 and the top most variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage comes with a price tag of CNY 3,599 i.e. approx INR 37,100.
The smartphone can be grabbed from 19th April in the country. It will be provided in four color options- Nebula Purple, Mist Powder, Fog Sea Green, and Extreme Night Black.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition has been price at CNY 3,999 i.e. around INR 41,200 for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage variant. The 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage variant of the smartphone costs CNY 4,499 i.e. roughly INR 46,400 and the top-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal memory carries a price sticker of CNY 4,799 i.e. approx INR 49,500.
All the three variants of the smartphone will go on sale in the country in the mid-May. It will be available in two color options- Fog Sea Green, and Extreme Night Black.

At the launch even, along with Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition, a 5G-ready variant of the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition was also unveiled. However, its development will start from next month i.e. May.
Oppo has not yet disclosed anything related to the global launch of both the smartphones. An event is going to be held in Zurich, Switzerland on 24th April and it is speculated that the Reno smartphones will be launched globally and all the details will be unveiled.
The Oppo Reno flaunts a 6.4-inch full-HD+ panoramic AMOLED display along with screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent and protection of sixth-gen Corning Gorilla Glass. The front screen i.e. the display panel received the TUV Rheinland certification also supports DCI-P3 colour gamut. The Oppo Reno gets the power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC which is mated with 6GB and 8GB of RAM options and 128GB and 256GB of internal storage options.
The Oppo Reno runs ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie. There is also a Breeno Assistant which includes the features like screen and voice recognition and multi-modal interactions. The smartphone also has a support of Oppo Wallet which works with the help of the built-in NFC technology.
There is also a Hi-Res and Dolby Atmos support on the smartphone. The Oppo Reno have Game Boost 2.0 acceleration powertrain along with Touch Boost and Frame Boost accelerations to improve the gaming experience.
The Oppo Reno has a 3D curved glass protection to remove the camera bulge. The smartphone also comes with a rear O-Dot ceramic point on the camera part and because of this, the lens are safeguarded. The smartphone comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
In terms of the connectivity options, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. The phone comes with a capacity of 3,765mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
In terms of the photography, the Oppo Reno carries dual camera setup at the back which includes a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone comes with an iconic side-swing selfie camera module which houses a 16-megapixel sensor along with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calling. The front camera has the feature to support five portrait modes and also uses AI to improve self-portraits.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition flaunts a bigger 6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display. Under the hood, the smartphone carries an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, mated with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 128GB and 256GB of internal storage options

As per the leaks and the demonstration at MWC 2019 which was held in February, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition’s camera setup provides 16-160mm full focal length coverage to allow 10x lossless optical zoom. Apart from this, the smartphone also holds dual OIS support to reduce jerkiness in images. The handset also supports optimisations like HDR support, noise reduction, and artificial intelligence (AI) based night portrait mode.
Apart from all these features for the still shots, the smartphone also comes with video recording-focused offerings. The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition supports 4K 60fps video capture along with OIS. to allow the features like audio zoom recording and 3D surround audio capturing, the smartphone uses the three-microphone setup.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with the same side-swing selfie camera module which comes out in just 0.8 seconds, and has been tested 200,000 times as of the Oppo Reno.
