Oppo, the Chinese smartphone maker has launched its new smartphone under its A-series. The smartphone is named as A37 which is priced at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,300) and is currently available in China via the company's official store. It is expected that the company will launch the smartphone in more markets soon.
As for the specifications, new Oppo A37 features a 5-inch HD IPS display having a resolution of 720* 1280 pixels. It offers a pixel density of 293ppi. The smartphone runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It will be available in Gold, Grey and Rose color variants.
Under the hood, the smartphone is fueled by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. The device has an inbuilt storage of 16GB, that can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion.
For the connectivity, the smartphone includes GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, USB-OTG, and Micro-USB. The company's listing confirms that the A37 smartphone will support India LTE bands.
For the photography, the GSM-based smartphone is loaded with an 8-megapixel camera at the rear end with LED flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and have the capability to record full HD (1080p) video recording. On the other hand, it bears a 5-megapixel front facing camera on the board as well. Dimensionally, it is measuring 143.1x71x7.68mm and weighs 136 grams. It is backed by a 2630mAh.
